The needle moves only when the sources do.

Every factual claim gets one of five readings. When the sources can’t settle it, TokChek says so instead of guessing.

  1. ContradictedThe sources say otherwise.
  2. Somewhat contradictedMostly at odds with the sources, with some truth in it.
  3. MixedCredible sources disagree, or half of it holds.
  4. Somewhat supportedClose, with a detail that doesn’t hold.
  5. Fully supportedThe sources back it up.

Not enough evidence No credible source settles it yet, which is not the same as false.

Can’t be resolved as stated The claim has more than one reasonable reading.

From a spoken line to a reading, in seconds

  1. Listen

Start a session when a debate, interview or meeting begins. TokChek hears it through your phone and keeps each speaker apart.

  2. Sort

Each line is sorted into factual claims, opinions, predictions, questions and quotations. Only factual claims are checked.

  3. Check

Every claim is compared with official statistics and credible sources, and the passages that matter are kept.

  4. Show

The needle moves to what the sources say. Tap any result to read the sources behind it.

It follows the debate in the language it’s argued in.

Rules TokChek never breaks

  • Opinions are never scored. They’re shown for what they are, and so are predictions, questions and quotations.
  • A failed check is never a verdict. When a search fails, TokChek says so and tries again.
  • Every result shows its sources. Open any reading to see the passages it rests on.
  • Corrections stay on the record. When a result changes, its earlier versions remain visible.
  • You decide what’s recorded. Only you can see your sessions, and you can delete them, or your whole account, at any time.
